They brought them before the magistrates and said, “These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar.

-Acts 16:20

When we make statements as a church like, “Until Jesus runs this town” or “The best is yet to come” we are catching the attention of the city we live in.  People are watching us, and when they see us praying and fasting, demonstrating our hope, faith, and love in Jesus by attempting to set ourselves apart for His use, they will want to know more. People all around us are hurting and seeking, and going through difficult times, and, whether we know it or not,  they are looking to see how we respond to our own difficulties.  Our words and actions during this 21 day season have not only been a light that shines in our church but is also a light that shines hope into a city dying to know:  Is this “God Thing” for real?  The world has always had its eye on the followers of Jesus, and it is up to us to carry the joy and renewal of this journey into the rest of this year.

Lord, people are watching and looking at us, and what they need to see is you.  You are the way, the truth, and the life, and we want to be a church that lifts and touches the hearts of everyone around us.  Help us to move forward with hope.  We believe you have heard our prayers and we want to do our part in your story to reach, connect, grow and launch, and lead people to reach their full potential in you.  In the mighty name of Jesus,  Amen.
