DAY TWENTY: CREATION AND CREATIVITY

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.  Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.  And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.  God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

-Genesis 1:1-4

DEVOTION:

God sees what we don’t.  Where we look at nothing, He sees a possibility.  Have you ever stopped to considered He created the earth and everything on it out of nothing?  God said, “Let there be,”  and suddenly... there was.  When we see NO way, God sees a PERFECT way.  Where we see NO solution, God sees THE solution. Our creator demonstrates  His creativity so we can discover the possibilities in our impossible and the unlimited in our limited.  That is why He has also given us the gift of creativity.  So we can creatively find the answers we are seeking in our relationships, our parenting, and our everyday lives.  All of us need to remember, our Heavenly Father wants us to experience his “let there be” power whenever we need it.  We need to remember no matter what, we serve a Creator who can always make something out of nothing.

PRAYER:

Father God, thank you for helping us to see what we can’t always see.  Thank you for still being in the middle of whatever we are facing with your “let there be” power to make the impossible possible.
