“So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?””

-Hebrews 13:6 NIV

The power behind that scripture is the reminder that no matter who or what is against us, God will get us through.

He is our deliverer when we are in distress. He is the restorer of our confidence when we are riddled with doubt.  He is the lifter of our heads when we are discouraged, and he is the bearer of our burdens when we feel like we are too weak to take one more step.  He is a strong tower, and He is always fighting for us in the face of adversity.  Today as we continue on our prayer journey as a church, let’s choose not to be afraid and remember:  God has already given us the victory through Jesus.  Let’s stare down any difficulties and confidently declare: The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.

Father God help us to remember because of what Jesus did on the cross we are praying from victory and not for it.  Remind us to remain confident that you will give us everything we need.  You are the same yesterday, today and forever, and you will always get us through.
